Board Elections
Are you bored and want to help out at your favorite Friday hangout? Consider joining the FWSDS board. We are the ones who put on all those nifty dances you go to. Currently, nominations are being taken for board positions. Our PR Manager and Secretary are leaving their positions, but feel free to nominate yourself for any position. Nominations are open until September 12. To submit a nomination, email vicepresident@fwsds.net. To learn more about what the board does, go to the About Us page. Voting will take place September 13-30.

DO YOU HAVE LESSONS?
Yes, we have a beginning swing dance lesson at 8:00pm before each dance. The material covered is always beginner-friendly and will teach you enough to get you out on the floor having fun for the rest of the evening. You do not need to purchase tickets ahead of time, just pay at the door!
DO I HAVE TO BRING A PARTNER?
No. In fact, we encourage dancing with different people to improve your dancing skills. We work to create a welcoming community that encourages people from differing genders, backgrounds, and abilities to dance with one another. Don’t be afraid to ask someone to dance!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
We recommend comfortable shoes with smooth rubber soles or dance shoes with sueded soles. Keds or other sneakers are as common here as leather dance shoes. Flip flops, open toe shoes, strappy heels, and shoes with good grip are discouraged due to possible injury to your feet or knees (or to other dancers).
